Nowadays, the globalization era had opened the gate to the acculturation of various cultures. Indonesian young generation, as the heir of a nation rich with traditions and cultures, has the responsibility to maintain the glorious values heritage. And, Indonesian young people must be able to filter all information in order to lead Indonesia to the globalizations era

Base on that opinion, we feel the need to dedicate ourselves to bring something for the young peoples to actualize themselves. We also try to preserve Indonesian cultures through well known media

We hope that Indonesia Drum Corps Championship (IDCC), focused on drum corps championship competing for President Trophy every year, would motivate self improvement to young people, and promote Indonesian cultures as well as worlds cultures

Understanding and caring for young people needs for something to actualize their talents and aspirations in culture and art of drum corps, is the purpose of IDCC presenting a continuously drum corps competitions every year. We hope IDCC would bring entertainment to the people and able to promote Indonesian cultures

IDCC is a media for Drum Corps / Marching Band units to show their talents and we hope the competitors would be able to improve their skills. Thus, IDCC as an international championship work with professional judges from Indonesia and other countries. IDCC is held in Yogyakarta, one of the province in Indonesia which still preserving Indonesian culture heritage, to introduce Indonesia tourism to the world
